Changing the image brightness

Changing the image brightness
Changing image brightness by moving curve either to the left or right of the diagonal

darkened image
This image is with the blue enhancement
visible counterpart here

brightened image
The red enhancement produces this image
visible counterpart here

Since the diagonal in the enhancement represents a linear relationship between temperature and output brightness value, moving the line to the right will subtract a constant quantitiy from each output brightness value and thus will darken the image. On the other hand, moving the line to the left will add a constant quantity to each output brightness value and thus will brighten the image.
